With the world coming relatively to a standstill in terms of sports, one may think that the ratings of players are going lower and lower. However, quite the opposite is actually happening. With people expecting more and more to see their favorite players on screen, and with players training for the season reopening, some of them are managing to stand out even more.
Some players have been on that list for a while, winning all online betting odds, whereas others are categorized pretty much as “rising stars.” Overall, however, here are the players that mostly grabbed the attention of NBA fans this year:
1. Giannis Antetokounmpo
This one should be a no-brainer, but there is a reason why Antetokounmpo has become the main MVP and by far the best player that Bucks have. The Greek player is very daring when it comes to making daring yet effective scores, and he also has a stellar track record within the league history. He seems to be guarded by a physical impossibility, making him everyone’s favorite within sports events.
2. James Harden
Rockets’ player, Harden has become quite the successful player ever since he started playing for the NBA. He mastered the three-point shot through the midrange, and when mixing that with his ability to quickly get to the free-throw line, he is one of the best players when it comes to playing on the offense.
3. Joel Embiid
Playing for 76ers, Enbiid is a star that made himself noticed both on the offense and the defense. Some say that he has quite the imposing physical force within the game, which is a great mix with his highly versatile skillset. With his training, he has made it quite high up the NBA ranks, and there wouldn’t be any surprise if he became an MVP for the league.
4. Pascal Siakam
Star for the Raptors, Siakam has not been on the radar for that long – but after he became the team’s central figure, his skills definitely improved. What made him quite popular among NBA fans is the fact that he does not seem to have any real weaknesses. Everything he does is either average or above average, and he gained quite a lot of respect for the fast improvement rate that he has shown.
5. Karl-Anthony Towns
Playing for the Timberwolves, Towns has gone quite high up the ranks after he had proven his talents. Making an impeccable 41% on his scoring skills, he has become quite the shooting man and it is hard to miss how much he has improved over the seasons. With training and the proper support, there is no doubt that he will make it quite high up the ranks, maybe even in the top 10 of NBA players.
6. Russell Westbrook
Paying for the Rockets, Westbrook is one of the players that is both overrated and underrated at the same time. Granted, he might not be an expert at the three-point range, but in other aspects, he seems to be performing flawlessly. Those who bet on sports seem quite confident that Westbrook will eventually go even higher up the ranks. He has the potential to do so.
7. Bradley Beal
Just when you think that Beal has reached his peak, there he goes and proves you even better. Second in the NBA scoring for the Wizards, Bear would rank even higher if it weren’t for the lack of his team’s success and the fact that he’s better on the offensive than on the defensive. Neither is actually his fault, which is why most people believe he will peak even more once the season starts.
Looking at their success, these players show quite a lot of popularity and promise. It will be interesting to see exactly how they will perform in the future.
