Real Madrid has played total 34 matches in the season of La Liga and in their last match, they have faced Leganes at their home venue Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid got a very hard victory against Leganes in the last match where they won by 2 -1 goals. Through the victory, Real Madrid reduced point difference with Atletico Madrid considering La Liga Point table.

Real Madrid is the defending champion of La Liga but it seems that they have already missed the ongoing season. Barcelona is still 12 points ahead of them by playing less match than Real. So, Barca is in top position and they have still five matches in hand. To secure La Liga title Barca needs to manage a victory only. Though they missed the Champions League title by facing defeat against Roma in the quarter-final.

But Real Madrid which team has missed La Liga and Copa del Rey has only hope to win Champions League this season. In the UCL competition, Real is playing very good and in the 1st leg of the semi-final of UCL, they managed a victory against Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich.

Now, if they could manage a victory in the 2nd leg, Real will move to the final of the Champions League for consecutive three seasons. Besides, they would get chance to win UCL as well where their opponent would be Liverpool or AS Roma which team would not be compared with Real Madrid.

However, let’s discuss the last match between Real Madrid and Leganes. In the match, Real’s performance was not so charming. Though, they went ahead in the first half by scoring two goals. But they were hardly be seen in the 2nd half. Leganes failed to make a charming start but after sometimes they returned to the game and repaid a goal.

But in the 2nd half, Real played very defensively and the apprentices of Zidane left the ground with victory finally. At Santiago Bernabeu in last Saturday Real won the match against Leganes by 2 – 1 goals. In the first half, Gareth Bale and Borja Mayoral led the team ahead.

In upcoming Wednesday, Real Madrid will play the 2nd leg of Champions League semi-final against German Bayern Munich and so, Real coach Zidane benched most of the first eleven players and grounded 2nd eleven against Leganes. Among the top stars, just Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema were in the starting eleven.

Through the victory, Real Madrid reduced the point difference with the 2nd placeholder team Atletico Madrid. By playing the same number of match, Real gathered 71 points and Atletico achieved 72 points so far.
