At the Camp Nou Lionel Messi once again showed his true nature. He scored pair of goals and assisted one. Through the amazing performance of Argentine skipper, Barcelona simply destroyed Chelsea and jumped to the quarter final of Champions League.

In last Wednesday night at the home venue of Barcelona in return leg, the team of Ernesto Valverde got victory over English club Chelsea by 3 – 0 goals. Considering both two legs, Barcelona went ahead of 4 – 1 goals aggregations and so, they have secured their place in last eight of Champions League.

Excluding Lionel Messi the other goal was scored by Dembele. Luis Suarez could not scored any goals but he was feared by the opponent team. Besides, he had parts in the both goals of Messi.

However, in the first leg at Stamford Bridge Barcelona first went behind than Chelsea but through the core of Messi, they finished the match with 1 – 1 goal. Now, at the second leg they took proper revenge on the Blues.

This time Lionel Messi led the team in the 3rd minutes of the game. He went to the attack from the right side of the ground and with Dembele he applied give and take with balls. But Dembele failed to pass the ball exactly to him and so, it went to the Suarez by the touch of Marcos Alonso. The Uruguayan striker made it to the Messi once again and with his right leg, Messi took the shot and under the legs of the Chelsea stopper, the ball found the net for the first time.

In 20th minutes of the game, Dembele scored his first goal for the Camp Nou. Chelsea once again took the wrong decision and so, at the midfield Messi got the ball. He overtook one player and went to the box very aggressively. Then he passed it to the French forward Dembele. Dembele took a strong and speedy shot and found the net.

In 63rd minutes of the game, Lionel Messi increased the goals difference once again and almost secured their victory by then. Suarez made a small pass and with the ball Massi went into the box. With his conakry shot, he found the net. This five times Ballon d’Or winner got his 2nd goal in the match. In the season of Champions League, it was his 6th goals and total 100th goals so far.
