FIFA World Cup Stadiums 2022: Qatar will build 9 new stadiums and renovate 3, with the 12 venues in 7 host cities. Al-Daayen, Al-Khor, Al-Rayyan, Al-Shamal, Al-Wakrah, Doha and Umm Slal.
FIFA World Cup 2022 will be the 22nd edition of the biggest football competition which will be executed in Qatar. Earlier, Qatar did not arrange such biggest event but upcoming World Cup 2022 would be very attractive.
Total 32 teams will play there and 62 matches will be played totally. So, considering all the options, Qatar is arranging venues to host the matches.

Lusail Iconic Stadium (Lusail, Qatar)
Lusail Iconic Stadium is one of the twelve venues which is preparing to host few matches in upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022. The ground is located in Lusail, Qatar.
The ground surface is grass where the planned seating capacity is 86,250. The ground is yet to complete. The venue is designed by a British company.
Khalifa International Stadium (Baaya, Qatar)
Khalifa International Stadium is also known as National Stadium which is also a multi purpose arena in Al-Waab Street, Baaya, Qatar. It was first opened in 3rd March, 1976 and back then the seating capacity is 48,000.
It is one of the selected venue for upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. There is a plan to expand the seating position to 68,030 from the current situation.
Sports City Stadium (Doha, Qatar)
Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Supreme Committee is the current owner of the ground of Sports City Stadium. It is located in Doha, Qatar.
Consists of 116 executive suites, the venue has planned seating capacity is more than 46,890. It is a selected venue for the upcoming biggest football competition in Qatar in 2022.
Doha Port Stadium (Ras Abu Abboud, Qatar)
Doha Port Stadium is also known as Ras Abu Aboud Stadium. It is situated in Ras Abu Abboud, Qatar.
The stadium will be ready for upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. The planned seating capacity of the ground is 40,000.
Qatar University Stadium (Doha, Qatar)
Qatar University Stadium is a multi purpose stadium. In Doha, Qatar the venue is located.
Currently it has only 7,000 seats capacity but for upcoming World Cup 2022, it is selected. But the seating capacity will be extended to 43,520 according to the plan.
Al-Khor Stadium (Al Khor, Qatar)
Al-Khor Stadium is a multi purpose arena which is located at the coastal area named Al Khor, Qatar. The venue is selected for the Qatar World Cup 2022.
The seating capacity of the ground is almost 12,000 which makes it as the average measured stadium in Qatar. But for the upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022, the seating capacity will be improved and it will be 43,520 as stated by the plan.
Al-Shamal Stadium (Al-Shamal, Qatar)
Al-Shamal Stadium is going to be ready for upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. The ground will be established in Al-Shamal, Qatar which is one of the major city in Qatar. According to the plan, the seating capacity of the ground will be 45,120. The field surface of the venue is grass.
Al-Wakrah Stadium (Al Wakrah, Qatar)
Al-Wakrah Stadium is also known as Saoud bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani Stadium. It is situated in Al Wakrah, Qatar. The ground is a multi purpose stadium which is selected for the upcoming large competition of football in 2022.
Current it has 12,00 seats capacity but for World Cup 2022, the seating capacity will be extended to 45,120.
Umm Salal Stadium (Umm Salal, Qatar)
Umm Salal Stadium is a stadium in Qatar which is proposed for upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022. The venue is located in Umm Salal, Qatar.
It is yet to build but the construction will be finished soon. The planned seating capacity of the ground is 45,000.
Education City Stadium (Education City, Qatar)
Education City Stadium is also known as Qatar Foundation Stadium. It is also selected for upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022 as one of the twelve venue.
It is located in Education City, Qatar. The construction was started in 2016 and the planned seating capacity is 45,350.
Al-Gharafa Stadium (Al Rayyan, Qatar)
Al-Gharafa Stadium simply or commonly known as Thani bin Jassim Stadium. As one of the multi purpose stadium, the seating capacity is 21,175. It is selected for upcoming Qatar World Cup 2022.
It was first opened in 2003 but for upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022, the seating capacity will be increased to 44,740.
Ahmed bin Ali Stadium (Al Rayyan Qatar)
Ahmed bin Ali Stadium or Al Rayyan Stadium is also a multi purpose arena in Qatar. The ground was founded in 2003 which consists of grass field surface.
The current seats capacity is 21,282 which will be expanded to 44,740 for upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022.
Though, primarily total twelve grounds are selected but most of them are under construction. They will be ready for the upcoming competition timely. The 21st episode of FIFA World Cup 2018 executed in Russia where total 12 venues were hosted all the matches. Though, there are plenty of times still now for upcoming 22nd edition of FIFA World Cup 2022 but Qatar is starting to prepare themselves.
