English Premier League which is one of the most popular league football competition based on the United Kingdom and it was founded in 1992. However, at the beginning when Premier League was founded in 1992, the award was called as Carling Premiership Manager of the Month till 2001. From 2001 to 2004, the award name changed to Barclaycard Premiership Manager of the Month and since then the award is known as Barclays Manager of the Month so far.

If we consider the Manager of the Month award since the beginning of the Premier League competition, former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson got the award highest twenty-seven times which is a record. Besides, there are a number of managers who won it more than once. However, there are fourteen managers in Premier League who won Manager of the Month awards in consecutive months. They are Kevin Keegan, Joe Kinnear, Roy Evans, Arsene Wenger, Alex Ferguson, David O’Leary, Paul Jewell, Stuart Pearce, Rafael Benítez, Manuel Pellegrini, Carlo Ancelotti, Claudio Ranieri, Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte.

Pep Guardiola who is the current manager of Manchester City and he is the only manager in EPL history to have won Manager of the Month award highest four consecutive months so far. Besides, in March 2002, the award of Manager of the Month has been shared when the Reds manager Gerard Houllier was jointly awarded with Phil Thompson who was the caretaker manager.

August 2018 – Javi Gracia (Watford)

However, he yet to spend quite a long career as a manager but hopefully, after getting the award as the Manager of the Month, he would get a long career ahead with Premier League Club Watford. After he took control of Watford, his team played 29 matches already and won 11 times so far and faced defeat 12 times. The match-winning percentage is 37.9.

September 2018 – Nuno (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

He finished his career while playing with Porto in 2010 though, the Portuguese goalkeeper did not play for Portugal national team. He finished his professional career in 2007 with the same club Bournemouth. Besides, he played for England Under 21 team so far.

After finishing his professional career, now he is managing the team AFC Bournemouth. In 2008, he took control of the club and stayed with the club the next three years. In 2011, Burnley took him for a season and in October 2012, he rejoined his former club Bournemouth as manager. Now he is passing his time as a manager of AFC Bournemouth. On 19th April 2015, the Englishman was announced as the Manager of the Decade at the Football League Awards.

40 years old Eddie Howe was named as the Premier League Manager of the Month in October 2018. However, after he took control of Bournemouth in 12th October 2012 for the 2nd time, his team played total 286 matches.
