FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 is about to start soon and according to the schedule, the opening match of the tournament will start in next 17th June, 2017 and in the opening match, host nation Russia will play against New Zealand. Krestovsky Stadium is one of the biggest football ground in Russia which is still under construction. Zenit Arena is the second name of the ground. The construction was started in 2007 and almost $1.4 billion has spent till May, 2015 according to the statistics. After finishing the construction, it will be the home venue of FC Zenit Saint Petersburg. However, the venue is already selected for upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 as one of the four. So, it will be also known as Saint Petersburg Stadium during FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. The stadium is placed at Saint Petersburg, Russia and it will have the capacity of 68,134 people. The surface of the field is made by grass.
Otkrytiye Arena is also situated in Russia but the accurate place is Tushino, Moscow. It is a multi – purpose stadium and used to host Spartak Moscow’s home matches. It is one of the four chosen venues for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 which was first opened in 5th September, 2014 and 430 billion USD has spent to build the arena reportedly. According to the design of the venue, the ground holds 45,360 seating capacity.
Kazan Arena (360 Stadium):
Kazan Arena will host four matches of upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 where the arena is located at Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia. Till now, Kazan Arena is hosted the home matches of Rubin Kazan from Russian Premier League. The ground Kazan Arena was opened in July, 2013 and the cost was $ 450 millions reportedly. It is one of the popular stadium in Russia which will host total four matches of FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and will also host few matches of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018.
Fisht Olympic Stadium:
Fisht Olympic Stadium was founded in 2013 in exchange for $779 million. It is one of the open air stadium located in Sochi, Russia. It will also host four matches of FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 along with a semi final match. For International football competition, the ground consists of 47,659 seats capacity. During the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 tournament, it will be known as Fisht Stadium.
FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 is the 10th season of this competition where total eight teams used to take part from the beginning. It is one of the most prestigious football competition where teams from UEFA, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, AFC, CAF and OFC used to compete. It was founded in 1992. Though, at the beginning, it used to be staged once in every two years but later, it was changed to four years. The last season of the competition was staged in 2013 in Brazil and host nation Brazil took the trophy back then.
