India is one of the super power cricket team in cricket world and they are now visiting South Africa to take part in a tournament India vs South Africa Series 2018 that consists of two teams. South Africa participated there as local team and India was the guest team so far. They played total six ODI matches and in the tournament, India destroyed Proteas in ODI series.
Now, all the six ODI matches have finished successfully where Indian won five times and Proteas just managed a victory. As the home team it was so shame for South Africa. They were about to face white wash but finally did avoid that.
The ODI series started in 1st February, 2018 and ended up in 16th February, 2018 with the last match. In the inaugural ODI between them which was took place at Durban. South Africa came to bat through the toss and scored 269 runs by losing eight wickets in fifty overs. Later, India successfully chased the score.
Virat got his first century in the match. Later in the 2nd ODI which took place in 4th February, 2018 at Centurion, South Africa faced a batting disaster and as toss losing team, they came to bat and scored 118 runs only. In 20.3 overs India chased it. So, India took lead of the series by 2 – 0 after the 2nd ODI.
Then again this two teams faced against each other for the 3rd ODI in 7th February and this time Cape Town was the host venue. As toss winning team, Proteas decided to bowl first. So, India presented 303 runs in front of the Proteas where Indian captain Virat Kohli made his second century in the series, He finished 50 overs successfully and remained not out with 160 runs.
Later, South Africa failed to chase the score but lost all wickets in 40 overs. They scored only 179 runs and so, they were lost by 124 runs so far. By winning three matches consecutively India secured the series. They had no fear left to lose the series at all.
In the 4th ODI, South Africa turned around and win the match considering D/L method. India scored 289 runs by batting first. They won the toss and took the decision. Later, in 25.3 overs Proteas scored 207 runs and rain affected the ground. So, applying D/L method, South Africa was declared as the winner of the match.
Later, in 5th ODI team India returned to their form again. They scored 274 runs where they were given to bat as the toss losing team. They lost seven wickets where Rohit Sharma made his first century in the series for India. Later, South Africa lost all wickets scoring 201 runs. They played 42.2 overs.
So, India won by 73 runs so far. Later, in the 6th and final ODI match, India let Proteas to bat first. So, Proteas scored 204 runs. They didn not last long in front of the Indian bowlers actually. The whole series Proteas batsman failed to justify their name and fame. So, India easily chased the score in 32.1 overs. Virat once again made a century in the match and it was his 3rd century in the series.
